A bit of a cheat this. We'd run out of walks
from the book so we just followed the path down river to the somewhat larger
village of Moena. It's about 10 miles and mainly downhill. It was notable for
two things:
|
we spent the first two hours largely in
shade whereas the opposite bank was in bright sunshine. The sun wasn't high
enough to light up our side. Beryl was making dire threats about what she
would do to me if it stayed that way all day. |
|
we could pick out all sorts of details of
previous walks |
For all that it is a bit tracky. There are
some better sections notably as you leave Pozzo and the final stretch to Moena.
On both of these you climb a bit and get better views of the valley. Not that I
took any photos all day.
Oh yes; we did get sunshine - in fact it
became quite hot so we indulged in posh ice-cream in Moena. Then a quick bit of
tourist gawping, stopping in some small gardens with figures depicting a local
legend (we couldn't work out what) and the bus back.
